Cal-i-forn-ia girls are un-for-get-able!

Haha I've had that song stuck in my head all darned week. But today was awesome, we went to Sprinkles in Newport on the way to Laguna Beach I got a vanilla cupcake with milk chocolate frosting. SO AMAZING. I thought it was my new most favorite place in the world until we went to a candy store in Laguna City. Barrels among barrels of candy everywhere. Every single candy you could ever imagine. We're going to go back at the end of the week with what money we have left and stock up. I found tons of stuff I wanna get for my friends and family back home. But for now I got a Nerds Rope (tropical flavor) and some weird strawberry candy. I made the mistake of trying to bite down on it....ouch. It sounds like we've been eating tons of unhealthy foods on this trip, but that's not entirely true. My aunt and uncle have this healthy, fresh, organic food obsession which is awesome! They made the best dinner I've ever had in my life last night. My uncle grilled this fish with amazing spices and my aunt made a salad with broccoli stems, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, and tons of other fresh veggies. Plus we had beets, crackers, and blue cheese. AMAZING! I had like two plates before collapsing from exhaustion from not sleeping in two days. And for breakfast this morning they had a bowl of really good and healthy granola bars. I love how they live here in Cali. Simple, fresh, bright, open, airy. It's my kinda livin=]

Southwest Airlines Canned Water Sucks

Well, it does. Who drinks canned water? Annnyway I was instructed to say that stuff by some crazy thirty year old drunk guys sitting next to me on the airplane. Uhh...what were there names. Chris. And Jeremy. I gave them some fruit roll ups, which I'm now regretting, because I only have a couple left...OH! I'm in Cali now. We planned our week of scuba diving, laguna beach-ing, catalina island-ing, and shopping-ing. And horseback riding.

P.S. Cal-i-forn-ia girls are undeniable...(Thanks Katy Perry, for providing the theme song to my week)

I think I have a problem...

I'll admit it. I have an addiction. I don't know if there's some group or meeting or counselor I should see...but in two days I think I've consumed around twenty or more fruit roll ups. Once I eat one, some sort of switch goes off and I can't stop. They're too darn good. My favorite are the blue and green ones...they taste different then the red/yellow ones. More fruity maybe. I've learned to not leave them in my car for too long, or else it's too frustrating to try and peel the sticky mess from it's plastic film wrapper. I get angry. I start ripping at the Fruit Roll Up with my teeth in an attempt to pry it free. I end up getting tiny shreds of tasteless bits one at a time, and it's rather disappointing. So, anyway, lesson learned. My stash is now hidden to the right of my bed on the floor, near a register that'll blow cold air around it. Mmm. Usually in a Fruit Roll Up crazed haste I just stuff them into my mouth, but now I'm taking more time to enjoy them. While reading my Jodi Picoult book tonight, I wrapped a Tie-Dye Fruit Roll Up around my left index finger and just sucked away. It lasted about two minutes as compared to the 20 seconds it took me to eat them before. God they're so good. Needless to say, after pigging out on half a box (okay a whole box) I brushed my teeth for four minutes and rinsed with Act mouth wash. No cavities for me, please. I'm done with them tonight. The flavor explosion...the plastic-y texture...the artificial fruity fakeness...See? Like I said, I have a problem.

It's Okay, It's Just Me

I figured this first blog should be about me. So anyone who reads this will know where it's all coming from, ya know? Well as you've probably guessed, my name is Mariah. I'm nineteen. I'm a freshman at IUPUI, starting in the Fall. My major says Biology--for now. Animals are my passion and I get new food obsessions every couple weeks. Previously it was Fruit Roll Ups, currently it is either Mochi Ice Cream or Jolly Rancher Fruit Chews. See a pattern? I bet now, if you don't know me, you're picturing a fat kid. Nope! Haha anyway I have Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and tons of pets. (Anyone like rats?) I've never blogged before but I love to journal so this is like the same thing....right? I work at PetSmart as a Pet Care Specialist. I like bright colors and shopping for clothes and many other things. Well that's me. Basically. Oh, wait, almost forgot. I just started a few weeks ago being a vegetarian. No red meats so far. It's not some political statement, it's for my health. Gotta go eat breakfast...I'm hungry....
